KEY POINTS:
A member of the Exclusive Brethren church facing historic sex charges has lost his bid to keep his name secret.
The High Court in Nelson today dismissed an appeal by Clive Allen Petrie, 72, that his health and that of his wife would suffer if his name was published.
Petrie is accused of indecently assaulting girls as young as five years old over a 34-year period from 1951 to 1985 while he was a brother of the church. He has pleaded not guilty.
