Former top jockey Leanne Isherwood was remanded on bail for a depositions hearing when she appeared in Levin District Court this morning on drugs charges.
Isherwood, a two-time Wellington Cup winner, is accused of possessing the class A drug methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine for supply, and possessing a pipe.
She will return to Levin District Court on October 29 for a depositions hearing.
Isherwood is best known for her dramatic upset on longshot winner Miss Bailey in the 1999 Wellington Cup.
She first won the Wellington Cup in 1993 on Dancing Lord, and rocketed to prominence in the mid-90s when she finished sixth on the jockeys' premiership.
She has since disappeared from the racing scene.
