A former Masterton judo player has captured a silver medal at the North Island Judo Championships.
Hannah Wilton, a former Chanel College student, competed in the Senior Girls division at the championships held in Gisborne earlier this month, according to Masterton ju jitsu and judo instructor Simon Ogden.
He said Ms Wilton had trained for three years at the Masterton Judo & Ju Jitsu Academy, where she obtained her second kyu blue belt. She is currently in Auckland fighting out of the Keri Keri Judo club.
