KEY POINTS:
Ewen James McLeod, who once headed an alcohol rehabilitation centre in Christchurch, is pleading not guilty to two drink-driving charges laid against him two weeks ago.
The 59-year-old, who now works as a real estate agent, was director of The Deanery which took high profile clients before its collapse in 2003.
McLeod appeared in Christchurch District Court twice in a week charged with drink-driving on separate occasions on Banks Peninsula, where he lives. He also faces charges of driving while forbidden on each occasion, and one charge of refusing to accompany a police officer.
Both the cases were meant to come back before the court today, but they had already been put off for a status hearing on June 21, after McLeod indicated he would plead not guilty.
