A former parliamentary reporter charged over the misuse of Press Gallery funds is due to appear in court next month.
The former reporter - whose name has been suppressed - stepped down as Press Gallery treasurer in April last year amid questions over an undisclosed amount missing from the gallery's bank account.
The former journalist was charged this month with three counts of dishonestly using documents for monetary gain.
The charges relate to the use of a bank card and cheque book over an eight-year period.
The accused appeared before a registrar in Wellington District Court this morning and was remanded to reappear on November 18, to allow time for information relevant to the case to be released.
