A former church minister has been caught downloading child porn at an internet cafe - more than two years after he was convicted of molesting a boy on a camping trip.
David Alexander Richards, 43, an orchard worker, pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing an objectionable publication when he appeared in Tauranga District Court yesterday.
He was sentenced to 140 hours' community work.
In 2004, Richards, then a minister, was convicted of indecently assaulting a 10-year-old boy at Sapphire Springs camping ground near Katikati.
