A jury in the High Court at Rotorua took just two hours on Tuesday to find a former Masterton man, now living in Tauranga, guilty of a raft of historic sex-related charges involving young males.
Justice Kit Toogood convicted Raymond Bruce Buchanan, 63, and remanded him to the Henry Bennett Centre in Hamilton for psychiatric reports to be prepared before he's sentenced on November 27.
Buchanan had denied charges of inducing an indecent act by a boy, sodomy, aggravated assault, injuring with intent to injure, assault on a child and sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection. The offences happened in Wairarapa.
He was represented by Tauranga barrister Tony Blame and Heidi Wrigley prosecuted for the Crown.
The trial began on Monday.
