KEY POINTS:
STUTTGART - A German court has sentenced a former Daimler finance manager to 5-1/2 years in jail for embezzling more than 22 million euros ($42.5 million) from the carmaker over five years.
The Stuttgart court ruled the 42-year-old man had submitted fake invoices for computer services and forged supervisors' signatures to get his hands on sums of up to 2 million euros at a time.
Daimler is set to get back 14 million euros.
Three business partners of the defendant got suspended sentences last year in the case, which tax inspectors uncovered.
