Wanted: Friendly New Zealander for long-distance relationship with vivacious Italian. Must love sailing.
That's the offer from Capoliveri, Italy - one of more than 30 international towns and cities advertising their attributes on the Sister Cities New Zealand website.
The organisation is the Kiwi arm of an operation helping cities around the world make strategic ties with other countries.
Capoliveri's mayor has offered the additional sweetener of the use of his town, on the island of Elba, as an America's Cup venue.
Other cities on the prowl for a Kiwi hook-up include Arue in Tahiti and Garden City, Kansas.
Sister Cities New Zealand president Peter Tennet said New Zealand was a popular choice.
"New Zealand is seen as a stable economy; a country that values its friendships around the world," he said.
"It doesn't surprise me that there are other cities wanting to interact with communities in New Zealand."
