Lesley Martin, convicted of attempting to murder her terminally ill mother, is expected to find out today whether she can continue to call herself a nurse.
The voluntary euthanasia campaigner faces the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal in Wellington for a review of a Nurses Council decision that there were grounds to deregister her.
Martin was jailed for 15 months in 2004 for attempting to murder her mother Joy with an overdose of morphine and jailed for 15 months.
Martin will ask the tribunal to allow her to retain her nursing status.
