Voluntary euthanasia campaigner Lesley Martin has avoided being struck off the nursing register.
The qualified nurse appeared before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal today.
The tribunal could have completely de-registered her or suspended her for up to three years, following her conviction for attempting to murder her terminally-ill mother.
Ms Martin said they instead imposed three conditions on her if she should ever apply for a practicing certificate again.
She described it as a victory and said it was nice to have "a wee win" for a change but that it was unlikely she would ever apply to practice again.
Ms Martin is focussing on building up the Dignity New Zealand trust and finishing her double major degree in politics and psychology.
