Two men, described by police as dangerous remained on the run today after escaping from custody in the Waikato last week.
Anthony Taka and Daniel Minogue fled the courts cells of Te Awamutu District Court on Thursday.
Police said the pair were dangerous and warned members of the public not to approach them.
Taka faced charges of assaulting a female prison guard at Waikeria Prison, in the Waikato, while Minogue was accused of possessing cannabis.
Taka, from Whakatane, was Maori, about 183cm tall with short hair and a stocky athletic build.
Minogue, from the Rotorua-Taupo area, was also Maori, about 183cm tall, of slim build with an 8cm wide mohawk haircut.
