The Earthquake Commission is paying out $7.5 million in content claims a week, latest data shows.
About $30m in claims were settled in the four weeks to October 14.
EQC is guaranteeing to pay out all completed claims by Christmas, if they are with EQC by October 24.
About 38,000 contents claims are currently being processed, but many more are awaiting customer action, such as a completed Schedule of Contents, receipts or other supporting documents.
