Two teenagers accused of the murder of a man in an Auckland motel have appeared in the High Court.
Beauen Wallace-Loretz, 17, appeared for the first time since March when he was caught by police after absconding while on electronically-monitored bail.
He and Leonard Nattrass-Berquist, 17, allegedly murdered 54-year-old Ihaia Gillman-Harrison on December 27 last year at Auckland's Ascot Epsom Motel.
Wallace-Loretz sparked a man hunt after he fled the Avondale address to which he was bailed.
Police, who were alerted by occupants at the home that the teen was talking about leaving, said they believed an associate of Wallace-Loretz had driven him from the address before he cut his anklet.
