Entries are flowing in for the inaugural Central Otago winterfeed competition.
Proceeds from the event will be given back to the community with the major beneficiary being Omakau First Response, followed by Omakau and Poolburn schools and the Omakau-Earnscleugh dog trial
club.
There are nine different categories, including dryland and irrigated options, with all Manuherikia, Ida Valley, Oturehua, Galloway, Waikerikeri Valley, Earnscleugh and Fruitlands farmers eligible to enter.
A charity auction dinner will be held at the Alexandra RSA on May 12, where the winners will be announced and an auction of sponsored products and services donated by local businesses will be held.
