An original interpretation of the Mona Lisa was seen floating around the streets of Masterton yesterday in a bid to get the work assessed.
The large artwork which was created by Masterton artist Jim Brady in a total of 50 hours made stops at Aratoi and King Street and gained a few gestures of approval from passers-by.
Mr Brady, with giant canvas in tow, confessed he is "stuck in the 70s".
He said he is now wanting to make a living from his art having worked in gardening, engineering, and signwriting before retiring.
"I've done art on and off me whole life," he said.
