Endeavour gets nose up for a spruce-up

The bow of the Navy's fleet tanker, HMNZS Endeavour, has been exposed, allowing the bow thruster to be removed before the ship undergoes dry-dock maintenance in Auckland.

Endeavour arrived back at the Devonport Naval Base last week after exercises near New Caledonia.

Raising the bow involved removing the tanker's ballast.
