Nancy found a handbag sitting on the grass after a soccer game in Devonport one Saturday afternoon, found the owner's details and called to let her know her bag had been found. "She was so happy when I phoned and said her husband was on his way ... He was very grateful, but I received nothing for being honest, caring and being a neat person. Off he went and we heard no more, but if I find another I should take a reward for petrol, phone and bag-sitting." Is there no such thing as doing something for nothing anymore?

Sadly there were only about a hundred and the rain kept them indoors. Faced with the prospect of a load of day-old bread, Godfrey drove to Otahuhu, parked outside the National Bank and started shouting "free bread". Nice.

As travel agents they should get this right. Mexico is in North America."
