Three days after it berthed in Auckland, the Rainbow Warrior was sunk by two explosions to the hull. It was later raised and towed to its final resting place in Matauri Bay. Back in 1985, the Herald had the technology to produce only black and white images. These images are being seen in colour for the first time.
