Steve the chihuahua dresses up for Dog Pride Day at Monte Cecilia Park in Hillsborough, Auckland, yesterday.

Steve and his owner, Amanda Christoffersen, were among the dogs and dog-lovers to attend the inaugural annual event, which included a breakfast and 2km charity dog walk.


It aimed to recognise "man's best friend" and raise money for the SPCA.
