Mike Keefe lost his wife to breast cancer misdiagnosis and he is shocked, but not surprised, it has happened again.
Jean Keefe was a fit and healthy mother-of-two when the tissue sample taken from a lump in her breast was misread.
She was given the all clear from her doctor but became extremely ill a year later.
By then she had developed secondary cancer in her bone marrow and was given only months to live.
Keefe sympathised with the two women who had been misdiagnosed after their test results were switched at the Southern Community Laboratories.
