One person has been hospitalised after a paraglider crash on Christchurch’s Port Hills, on Thursday evening.
Four fire trucks rushed to the scene of the incident on Summit Rd in the beachside suburb of Sumner after being called to assist St John about 7.20pm on Thursday.
A rescue helicopter also attended the job.
St John confirmed on Friday morning a person who had been paragliding had been airlifted to Christchurch Hospital, after suffering moderate injuries.
