Emergency road repairs near an Auckland on-ramp are causing significant traffic delays.
The NZ Transport Agency advised that emergency road repairs have partially closed the lane heading towards the Ellerslie-Panmure northbound on-ramp between Great South Road and the Ellerslie-Panmure roundabout leading to Auckland's Southern Motorway on State Highway 1.
The agency has warned drivers that the emergency closure is causing significant delays on Great South Rd, and has recommended drivers use Greenlane or Mt Wellington motorway on-ramps if possible.
Neither the northbound on-ramp from the roundabout nor the Southern Motorway were affected by the closure.
Motorists were asked to drive safely and take extra care while the urgent repair work was carried out.
