Emergency landing at Hawkes Bay airport

A small, twin-engined plane made an emergency landing at Hawke's Bay Airport this afternoon after one engine had to be shut down.

A police communications spokesman said it appeared the engine had caught fire.

The plane landed safely about 12.45pm.
