A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Hamilton International Airport last night, after an engine fire warning light came on.
The plane landed at Hamilton but no fire was found.
It was being operated by CTC Aviation Training. Spokeswoman Heather Claycomb said a fire light for the left engine came on.
She said the crew shut down the left engine and landed at the nearest airport being Hamilton.
Ms Claycomb said the engine was checked on the ground but there were no signs of fire and the warning light came on because of a faulty fire warning sensor.
Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Bill Sommer said they were aware of the incident and were speaking to the pilot.
He said it was still unclear what had caused the problem and the authority was investigating.
