A plane with 38 people on board had to conduct an emergency landing in Christchurch this morning after it was feared its landing gear had malfunctioned.
The Air Chathams flight landed safely at about 11.30am and no one was injured.
Christchurch Airport went to a full airport emergency and ambulance and Fire Service staff were on stand-by.
An ambulance spokesperson said the aircraft's computer had indicated a landing gear malfunction, however, this appeared to have been a problem with the computer rather than the landing gear.
An airport spokeswoman said engineers were assessing the aircraft.
