It's been a helluva month for the Greens sole remaining leader, James Shaw.
His co-leader Metiria Turei quit after admitting benefit and electoral fraud, the party plummeted below the 5 per cent survival threshold in the polls and his own leadership has been questioned.
But the first term list MPshowed tonight that he hasn't lost his sense of humour.
In a tweet to his 8548 followers, he shared the excitement of his Saturday night.
"I'm at the nerdiest housewarming party ever, with @LeilaniTamu. The hosts have got candidates from every party (ex-Nat) pitching the crowd."
A photo posted with the tweet showed several earnest young people listening to someone speak.
