This three-month-old pup is lucky to be alive. She was one of four border collies saved when their previous owner tried to drown them near Matakana. Animal attendant Emma Ginsberg said it was important the pups went to really motivated owners.
"They need really doggy people who will train them and take them for walks. They need full-time care."
Ms Ginsberg said they needed a lot of time spent on them to train them up well.
Two of the pups have people interested in them but the other two need a home.
