Mila, the elephant that killed its keeper, howled all night after the tragedy.
Keeper Helen Schofield died on Wednesday after the 39-year-old African elephant crushed her and neighbours said they could hear Mila "hooting all night" into the early hours of Thursday.
The zoo remained closed yesterday.
