An elderly woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car while crossing the road in Manurewa earlier today.
Police said the 86-year-old woman was hit by a car while crossing Russell Rd, at a pedestrian crossing, about midday.
The woman is in a serious condition in hospital.
The car stopped and the driver was assisting police with their enquiries.
