An elderly woman has been hit by a car in Matua, Bay of Plenty this morning.
Police and emergency services are on their way to Heron Ave, where a 78-year old woman is believed to have been struck by a car about 11.20am.
Sergeant Wayne Hunter of the Tauranga South Police said the woman was a pedestrian.
