A man is seriously injured after becoming trapped under a car at a circus event in Canterbury.
Emergency services were called to Wylie Park in Kaiapoi just after 2pm.
The 70-year-old man was stuck under a four-wheel-drive according to Fairfax.
He has since been freed and transported to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition.
Circus event Cirque Grande is being held at Wylie Park until December 3.
