Elderly driver dies at crash scene

An elderly man is believed to have had a heart attack before his car left the road and hit a tree near Albany last night.

The man, in his seventies, died at the scene on East Coast Rd shortly after 8.10pm before emergency services could reach him.

It is understood he lived in the Albany area.
