Elderly couple's death not suspicious

An investigation into the deaths of an elderly couple from Cromwell, near Queenstown, has been referred to the coroner.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

The bodies of the 81-year-old man and the 76-year-old woman were found by neighbours last Monday, although police believe they may have been dead for several days before they were found.
