Elderly couple robbed

A shameless thief stole a handbag from an elderly couple's car in the Palmerston North Hospital carpark after being given money by them for food. The 88-year-old woman's handbag contained $100 cash. The offender was described as a Pacific Islander or dark-skinned Maori in his 20s or 30s, with distinctive shoulder-length, curly hair.
