KEY POINTS:
Eight more people - four staff and four patients - have been infected with the highly contagious norovirus as Dunedin hospitals battle to stop its spread.
"There are currently 30 patients in isolation at Dunedin Hospital and three wards are closed to admissions at the hospital," operations manager Megan Boivin said.
The norovirus has wreaked havoc on Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals' ability to carry out day-to-day duties, with more than 150 infections reported by the DHB this month.
