Eight people were arrested when a party got out of hand in Hamilton overnight.
Senior Sergeant Stephen Ambler said police were called to the party on Wellington St, in the east of the city, in the early hours of this morning.
"It was not especially large, about 150 people, but there were a number of disorder incidents in and around the address reported to us by neighbours. Police attended and closed the party down," he said.
Eight people were arrested for drunk and disorderly type offences from the streets around the house, he said.
The police were called by the occupants of the party house when uninvited guests turned up.
