An Auckland lecturer who lost his job over an offensive email to a student has been awarded more than $65,000 after the Employment Relations Authority ruled he was unjustifiably dismissed.
Dr Paul Buchanan was sacked from Auckland University's political studies department in July after his email to a student last May was leaked to the media.
