One of the main arterial roads near Eden Park will be closed to traffic after the All Blacks-Ireland match on Saturday in a plan giving pedestrians priority over cars.
Eden Park Trust Board general manager Murray Reade said pedestrians would have priority on Sandringham Rd before and after the game, which kicks off at 7.30pm.
Controlled pedestrian crossings would be in place opposite Kingsland Station and beside Rossmay Tce near the Mobil station for an hour before the gates opened at 5pm.
After the match ended at 9.15pm, Sandringham Rd would be closed to traffic for up to an hour.
