Embarking on his 60th year of broadcasting, Sir David Attenborough's new series, which broadcasts in November, highlights the plights of ten bizarre, endangered creatures.
Amongst the highly-renouned naturalists top ten is the olm, a blind amphibian that dwells in cave waters of southern and eastern Europe and the rare Darwin's frog, found only in Chile and Argentina. Males of this unusual species give birth, through their mouths, to live young.
