Rotorua MP Steve Chadwick's attempt to free up the hours shops can open on Good Friday and Easter Sunday was voted down in Parliament last night. However, the vote of 57 to 64 was a narrower defeat than the previous two losses, persuading her to try again despite opposition from unions and churches.
