A swarm of earthquakes hit Hawkes Bay and Taupo yesterday morning, GeoNet reported.
The largest, magnitude 4.3, struck 30km southeast of Hastings at 8.49am, following a magnitude 3.3 quake two minutes earlier. In Taupo, a magnitude 2.9 struck at 3.07am, followed by a magnitude 2.4 at 4.55am.
