KEY POINTS:
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck
Matata this morning.
The quake was centred 10km north of the Bay of Plenty township, shortly
before 11am. It had a focal depth of 2km.
The quake had been reported by 18 homes and businesses between Whakatane and Tauranga on the GNS website by 11.25am.
