KEY POINTS:
An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted parts of Fiordland this afternoon.
The quake, at 3.44pm, was centred 90km west of Te Anau at a depth of 20km.
It would have been felt in the Fiordland region, GNS Science said.
