KEY POINTS:
An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter Scale jolted parts of the lower North Island around noon today.
The quake was centred 10km west of Levin, in the Horowhenua, at a depth of 40km. It would have been felt from Hutt Valley and Manawatu, GNS Science said.
