A South Auckland house has been ravaged by an early morning fire today. Fire fighters were called to the single-storey house in Boundary Rd, Opaheke, Papakura shortly after 1am.
Calls were made from inside the property and neighbours and fire fighters arrived to find the house well alight, a Fire Service spokesman said today.
"We're still there on standby. The structure partially collapsed - quite a major house fire." One person suffered minor burns in the blaze that was attended by four fire engines from the Papakura station.
The fire isn't believed to be suspicious.
