Save An earthquake rocked Wanganui early today.
GNS Science said the quake, which hit a 2.35am, measured 4.7 in magnitude.
It was centred 25km south west of Wanganui and was 35 kilometres deep.
More than 20 people from Taupo to Wellington commented on the GeoNet Facebook page they felt after hearing
a loud rumbling sound.
Jondaar Dbl J said: "Felt that in Otaki & could hear it coming."
