Debris littered a suburban St Heliers road this morning after a car crashed into a parked vehicle.
The incident occurred in the "early hours" on Ashby Avenue, police said. The two occupants of the vehicle were taken to Auckland City Hospital, with one person in a critical condition.
Police closed Ashby Rd between St Heliers Bay Rd and Odessa Crescent.The Auckland City Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
An Auckland Hospital spokeswoman said both occupants of the car were still in the hospital. One is in a critical condition and the other is stable, she said.
