Two people suffered from smoke inhalation following a house fire in the Waikato early this morning.
Four fire trucks from Pukekohe and Tuakau were called to the scene on Carr St in Tuakau about 3am, northern fire communications shift manager Jarom Phillips said.
Mr Phillips said an adult and a child both suffered from smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
He said the blaze had spread through the roof of the house, before firefighters gained access and got the fire under control.
Firefighters were also at the scene of a house fire in Ladies Mile, Remuera at 8.40pm last night, Mr Phillips said.
