Spring has come early in Cornwall Park. Daffodils are out and five lambs were born at the weekend, much to the delight of the park's young visitors.
The lambs have joined 12 calves born on the park's farm. Farm manager Peter Maxwell said he couldn't explain the lambs' early arrival.
"Sometimes these things just happen. We're just glad it was all right weather for them," he said.
Each Sunday during August the park's Twin Oak Drive will be closed to vehicles so people can enjoy walking alongside spring flowers, including jonquils and bluebells.
